Salt Spring Centre YTT
As the Program Director of this 200-hour, Yoga Alliance-approved, Yoga Teacher Training (YTT), Tracy looks forward to welcoming a new group of yogis to the Salt Spring Centre of Yoga every summer.
The Salt Spring Centre of Yoga is a non-profit organization dedicated to passing on the teachings of classical ashtanga yoga. It is the longest running yoga retreat centre on Canada’s West Coast; built in 1981 by Karma Yogis, staff and volunteers, in the spirit of selfless service.
The cozy farmhouse and surrounding buildings sit on 69 acres of meadows, forest, organic farm and beautiful practice spaces. The large organic farm supplies most of the produce for the nourishing vegetarian meals.
The Salt Spring Centre's 200 hour YTT and their outstanding 20-member faculty of passionate yoga instructors immerse you in the discipline of classical Ashtanga and Hatha yoga systems; integrating asana, pranayama and meditation, with the aim of enhancing health, spiritual growth and personal transformation. Participants benefit from theory classes led by specialized instructors who are professionals in their fields across British Columbia.
After graduating from this program many moons ago; Tracy kept finding herself back at the place that lit that fire inside of her. Today, she is more than grateful to be able to support the transformational experience of the YTT cohorts every summer, and is working on launching the 300 hour YTT module.

The Salt Spring Centre of Yoga's YTT program was absolutely life-changing. I was drawn to the program during, what I now understand, to be a pivotal time in my life. The landscape, the supportive instructors, the food, the sacred "feeling" you experience, are irreplaceable. Tracy was the lead in my cohort, and she is someone you just feel like you already know and love. I can't explain it. I've been practicing and teaching yoga for 10 years since my training in 2010, and I would still go back and retake this program again and again if I could. After living the yogic lifestyle for that time on-site, absorbing the theory, and connecting with so many unique individuals; you leave with life-long tools for uniting mind, body, and spirit, allong with the materials and connections to continue to lean on and learn from.
